Shakesneare's Immortal Memory
NEW THEATRE AT STRATFORD-ON-AVON British Official Wireless. Received Sunday, 7.30 p.m. RUGBY, April 10: The new Shakespeare memorial theatre at Stratford-on-Avon will bo opened on April 23 by tho Prince of Wales. At the luncheon "Shakespeare’s immortal memory” will bo proposed by the veteran Shakespearean actor, Sir Frank Benson. Other speakers will be Mr. Stanley Baldwin and the French and American Ambassadors. It is anticipated that all the leading countries will be represented. An ode by the l’oct Laureate, Mr. John Masefield, will be recited at the opening performance at the theatre, when both parts of ‘‘Henry IV” will be
given. The new theatre is of striking appearance and is superbly equipped for play production.
