Telegrams were received on Saturday morning by tho town clerk of Fcilding from the Prime Minister and Hon. J. G. Cobbc, acknowledging the Feilding Borough Council’s protest against the proposed sales tax and intimating that the matter would receive the Government’s serious consideration. The Poppy Day receipts in Feilding totalled £sl 10/—a very creditable result.
