MURDER SUSPECTED
Child’s Body Found IN SCRUB NEAR UPPER HUTT Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Vera Forster, aged 4i years, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Forster, Upper Hutt, was found about 9 o’clock to-night in circumstances pointing to murder in scrub bush at tho end of Oruickshank road, Maoribank, beyond Upper Hutt. She was missing since about 10 o’clock this morniug and a search party of about 40 set out at about 1 p.m. A piece of iron piping jvas found near the body and a blow or blows had been received on tho back of the head. The body was taken to Upper Hutt police station before removal to the morgue at Wellington. Detective McLennan and Sergeant Butler, of Pctone, aro investigating.
