ITALY’S SWEEPING PROPOSALS. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. GENEVA, April 13. Signor Grandi, at the Disarmament Conference, associating himself with the United States proposal, sweepingly proposed the immediate abolition of chemical and bacteriological warfare, and the abolition of battleships, aeroplane carriers and submarines by yearly percentages in accordance with the number of years fixed for abolition, also the abolition of bombing planes and heavy artillery by progressive diminution beginning with heaviest guns.
