HOW SPAIN CELEBRATES REPUBLIC. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Thursday, Alidnight. LONDON, April 14. Spain to-day proclaimed a public holiday celebrating the first anniversary of the Republic amid strikes and threats of strikes.
The Times’ Aladrid correspondent says the strikers set fire to the pottery works and attempted to blow up a convent. The citizens of Seville day and night arc guarding the churches.
