The Plunket Committee meets at 2.30 o’clock this afternoon in the City Council chambers. Air. and Mrs. T. K. Hay, of Feilding, who have been on a motor tour of the North Island, returned home yesterday. The friends of Air. and Airs. Alax Voss, of Clifton street, will be glad to learn that their only daughter, Thelma, who is in hospital with scarlet fever, is progressing satisfactorily. Airs. AV. S. Dustin, of Palmerston North, who lias been on a healthrecruiting trip to tho Old Country, arrived in Sydney this week on her return journey, and will arrive in Wellington on Alonday next. Airs Dustin’s friends will be glad to know that the trip has benefited her considerably.
At the old-time dance held by the Takaro Hall Committee on Tuesday evening the Alonto Carlo waltz was won by Aliss Christiansen and Air. R. AleKay, the second prize being annexed by Mrs. Packer and Air. Heath. Extras were played by Alcssrs Prentice and Penny, the main dance music being supplied by a professional orchestra. Air. Hall carried out very efficiently the duties of AI.C.
