ST. PATRICK’S A3HJNHAL DANCE. From Our Own Correspondent. There was a large gathering present at the Masonic hall on Tuesday evening on tho occasion of St. Patrick’s annual dance. Tho hall was decorated for tho occasion and a very cnjoyaole time was spent by those present, among whom wero visitors from Shannon, Palmerston North and Otaki. Mr. Y. McDowell officiated as M.C., while the music supplied by Gus Largo’s Four Aces (of Palmerston North) was greatly enjoyed. A very pioasing interlude of the evening rvas ' the exhibition dancing by Miss G. - Macnaughtan, ox Palmerston North, whoso performuneu was much appreciated. Supper was handed round by a band of willing helpers, after which dancing continued until the early hours' of the morning. Among those present were Mesdames W. PERSON aju. U,.. S. H. Poolo and Miss M. Poole left Foxton to take up their residence at Wanganui on Tuesday. Mr. Poole will not be leaving for a few days. Mrs. A. S. Easton, of “Te Ngaio,” No. 1 Line, has returned from a visit to Wellington. Miss J: Francis, of Thvnne street, is at present sponding a holiday in Wellington.
