Entries showed a big increase in practically all departments at 10-uav Addington market but values wore fairly well maintained except in the fat sheep section. Store lambs: The entry included a fair proportion of station lines and backward in condition. The demand was slightly slacker though values showed little change. Good rape lambs lUs to 12s 3d, medium rape 8s to Ss 6d, ordinary 5s 6d to 73 9d, backward 3s to ss, medi: u ewe to 8s sd, backward ewe 5s to 5s 9d.

Storo siieep: The heaviest entry oi the season. It included a first draft of North Island 2-tooths. Good soundmouthed ewes and young sheep about maintained their values but older sorts were down Is Od a lu d. Extra good 2-th Romney cross ewes ,19s 6d to 21s 6d, good to 17s 6d, ordinary 13s to Ids, good 2-th Cor : ouale ewes 15s Cd to 17s Od, good 2-th half bred ewes 15s to 18s 6d, medium 13s to 14s 6d, ordinary 10s to 12s 6d, inferior 8s to 9s, ordinary 4 and 6-th halfbred ewes 103 to 11s, medium halfbred 9s to 10s 6d, ordinary 6s 6d to 8s 6d, s and f.m. halfbred os to 6s, aged and inferior 2s to 4s Od. Fat lambs: A heavy increase in fat lambs. A free sale with schedule export prices fully maintained. Extra prime to 21s 7d, prime 17s to 19s, medium 13s to 16s 6d, light 10s to 12s 6d. Fat sheep: A very heavy yarding ol 5200 which followed two light ones. Tho consequence was that the high rates of the last fortnight were not maintained, big ewes being down by 3s 6d and wethers by 3s with light medium sorts Is 6d to 2.s easier. Show wethers to 25s 7d, extra prime heavy wethers 18s Od to 22s 6d, prime heavy 16s 6d to 18s, medium weight prime 14s 6d to 16s, medium quality 12s to 14s, light 9s to 11s 9d, show ewes to 19s 4d, extra prime 16s to 17s 6d, prime 11s 6d to 15s, medium weight prime 8s 6d to 11s, ordinary 6s 6d to Bs, aged and inferior 4s to 6s.

Fat cattle: 390 were penned, some good quality being included. The sale was harder than last week but there was no change in good beef though secondary was easier by 10s a head. Best beef made to 26s per 1001 bs, goou - - to 245, secondary 17s 6d to 20s and inferior brought down to 12s; extra heavy steers to £l2 17s Gd, prime heavy £9 5s to £ll ss, prime medium weight £7 5s to £9, medium quality £5 5s to £7, light £4 to £5, extra prime heifers to £lO ,17s 6d, primo £7 to £8 15s, medium £5 to £6 15s, light £4 to £4 15s, extra prime cows to £9 17s 6d, prime £6 10s to £8 10s, medium £5 to £6 ss, light and aged £3 17s 6d to £4 15s. Fat pigs: A medium entry with handyweight porkers in short supply. Tho demand was better. Choppers £2 to £4 18s 6d, baconers 3Ss 6d to 55s '6d, average price per lb 34d to did; porkers 33s to 37s 6d, average price per lb old to 63d.
