Married ladies who never smoked themselves—there are still sonio of them about you know T often object strongly to “Father” smoking, especially jn tho house, so that the poor fellow if he wants to “blow a cloud” when at home is compelled to go to the garden if it’s fine and the coal-hole if it isn’t. But tho wise wife knows full well that smoking makes for harmony in tho home, and that irritability and “snappishness” quickly yield to the bencficient influence of the weed. So she offers no objection when father gets out his pipe and fills up. Of course the tobacco should bo the best, not the foreign stuff generally loaded with nicotine, and more likely to increase irritability than to allay it. Toasted tobacco is the purest, most wholesome, sweetest and most fragrant, because there is practically no nicotine in it — it’s toasted! There aro only four brands: Riverhcad Gold, Navy Cut No. 3, Cavendish and Cut Plug No. 10. But take care what you buy—there arc imitations about!
