North Island owes, under/48ibs, 3{rd per lb; 4S/561bs, 3}d per lb; 56/64 lbs, 3d per lb; G4/721bs, 2fd per lb. New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/2201b5, 2§d per lb. Compared with last week’s quotations, North Island Down lambs 28/36 lbs id per lb lower; 3G/421bs l-8d per lb lower. Best North Island crossbred lambs 28/3Glbs JL-8d per lb lower. North Island ewes under sGlbs l-8d per lb higher. New Zealand prime ox beef 1-Sd per lb higher. Others unchanged. There is considerable pressure to sell lamb owing to settlement of strike. Opinion is that prices will go lower next week. The mutton market is steady.
