Crowd Gets its Money’s Worth at Wrestling
REFEREE HEADLOCKED BY MEESKE. United Press Association. —By ElectricTelegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 8.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 21. Tho wrestlers, Browning and Meeske, created another diversion at tho Leickardt Stadium last night. In tho second round Meeske’s head and Browning’s leg became entagled in tho ropes. Tho referee, Mr. McMastcrs, went, to assist Meeske, who, resenting tho intrusion, hcadloekcd him. The audience rocked with delight as tho referee tried to free himself, and a corner man who rushed in to assist was promptly kicked to his place by McMastcrs. The fourth round was one of scratch, bite and kick. At the end of the sixth each man had scored one fall, but the decision was awarded to Meeske.
