Wanganui Handicap to Grand Jury The Wanganui autumn fixture was brought to a conclusion cm. Saturday in sultry weather, with rain falling for a period during the afternoon. There was a fair attendance and the course was in better order than on Thursday. The Jackson Stakes resulted in a decisive win for Mr. W. G. Emeny’s brilliant mare, Lady Quex, which led into the straight and went on to win from Hunting Cry by the best part of two lengths. The Wanganui Handicap was won by the Feilcling-traincd Grand Jury, Shrewd and High Falutin’ being in the places. The totalisator investments during the day amounted to £B3IB 10s as compared with £14,702 for the corresponding day last year when eight events were run. For the meeting the total for the 14 races was £15,117 10s, as against £26,905 for 16 races last year, the decrease being £11,787 10s. Following are the detailed results of Saturday’s racing:—
