TOYS FOE THE OffILDBEN. In these difficult times when we are all striving to be economical, these ideas for home-made toys will be appreciated. There is a fascination in making toys out of odds and ends, such as string, match-boxes, and so on. A toy raft mado of old corks which floats beautifully can bo made easily. Collect a number of corks of one size, and thread a piece of fairly stout wire through enough of thorn to make the width of the raft. Now thread other rows until you have the desired length. Having completed this lay the row’s neatly side by side, and join them together by pieces of string between the corks.
