Film Exhibited Without Hall License
PENALTY IMPOSED ON TWO SHOWMEN. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. In tho Magistrate’s Court to-day, Francis Richard Tloltom, of Paekakariki, and Walter Leak were fined 5. 5 and costs for exhibiting a film at Plirnmerton when they were not the holders of an exhibitors’ license in respect of the hall. It was stated that the premises had been found unsuitable and that the defendants were under notice to make a. lean-to fireproof, but that they had shown the film before the work was done.
