Public Works Dismissals
A NUMBER AT TAWA FLAT. OTHER WORK LIKELY TO BE FOUND.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. ID. It was ascertained from an authoritative source to-day that a number of men had been dismissed from the Tawa Flat railway deviation, and that others were to he dismissed shortly from that work. General dismissals from public works throughout the country are to take plajee, and it is expected that steps will be taken to find employment for tho men under different conditions. An official statement on the subject is anticipated shortly.
