Kairanga School Picnic

ENJOYABLE OUTING AT RACECOURSE. On Wednesday, the 17th February, the Kairanga school held their annual picnic on tkor beautiful grounds of tho Manawatu Racing Club at Awapuni. lu spite of threatening weather the day improved as it went on and by- mid-day a glorious sun w r as shining. A large number of parents and friends gathered and it was a tired but happy party that left for home after a varied sports programme and games had been indulged in. At a suitable time, Mr. Y. W. Verry, chairman of tho committee, moved a hearty vote of thanks to the Racing Club for the use of the grounds, to donors of trophies—and to all who had assisted to make tho day such a success.
