GOOD GAMES AT THE SHOWGROUNDS
Football enthusiasts aro promised two good games on the oval at the Showgrounds this afternoon, for the big match is being provided by the United and Fcilding Old Boys senior teams, whilo tho curtain-raiser will be tho Rowland Cup match between the champion junior teams of the Manawatu and Ilorowhcnua districts.
In tho senior games, which will advance tho Goldlinch and Cousins Cup competition a further stage, United meet Fcilding Old Boys, and Kia Toa meet Fcilding, the latter gamo being played at Johnston park. The Rowland Cup match is between Palmerston North Old Boys A and Foxton and a great gamo should result, for the Foxton team is said to be a very good one and quite capable of extending, if not beating, the Manawatu champions.
