Woman Wins First N.S.W. State Lottery
TREMENDOUS CROWD WATCHES DRAW. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. Received Thursday, 9.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 20. The prize of £SOOO in the first New South Wales lottery drawn to-day went to a woman living at Manly with a ticket No. 40,977. The second went to East Sydney, and the third to Epping, a suburb, and the fourth to Liverpool, another suburb.
A tremendous crowd gathered to witness the drawing it her Majesty’s theatre.
