AN AMBITIOUS YOUNG SCOT.—A young member of the military band at Queen Victoria College, Perthshire, entertaining some of his friends with a double bass almost as big as himself. This college was established about a quarter of a century ago for the sons of Scottish soldiers and sailors. There are about 300 boys at present at the school, which is well-known for its pipe and brass bands, and dancing teams which entertain at public functions.
