Speedway Mishap
INNOVATION IN BRITAIN. LONDON, August 6. The first college of aeronautical engineering in Europe for the training of well-educated boys in the control of air lines and aerodromes, where British 'planes are employed, will open in London in September. Within three years 40 pupils should have qualified. They will undergo a year’s technical course, and will then be transferred to Brookiands, where they will learn construction, maintenance and management. The course will cost £IOO a year, but after terms of probation fees will be remitted, seven terms being compounded at 160 guineas. Qualified students will receive Air Ministry licenses.
