Concrete Footpaths
PROGRESS OP WORK. Reporting to last evening's meeting of the 3Teilding Borough Council, the borough engineer, Mr. T. K. Hay, stated further concrete footpaths had been completed in Marlborough street, Ongley street, and at South street bridge to West street. Tho finance committee reported that the expenditure and commitments on concrete foothpaths to August 8, amounted to £519 and the council agreed to proceed with the work of laying a new path in West street from Warwick street to King street. The total allocated fo? this work was £750 and should there Temain a balance after completing the last mentioned work, the council proposes to commence new work in the lower end of Denbigh street. The matter of providing a concrete footpath in Bailey street, applied for by the residents of the thoroughfare, was held over.
