A Wedding Celebrated Recently at New Plymouth

A wedding of considerable interest was celebrated at Whiteloy Church, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, August sth, when Norah, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mills, of Hawera, was married to Arthur,, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. John Sanson, of Glen Oroua. The bride, who entered the church escorted by her father, looked charming in a model frock of wine coloured worsted silk fashioned with a long tightly fitting corsage and long right sleeves. She wore a velour hat to match and carried a dainty bouquet of cyclamen, freozias and maidenhair fern with pale heliotrope streamers. Her sister, Miss Ruth Mills, also of Hawera, was in attendance as bridesmaid and wore a smart ring velvet frock, and small brown silk straw hat trimmed with a spray to tone with the frock. She also carried a small bouquet with heliotrope streamers. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr. Bay Gifford, of Hamilton, cousin of the bridegroom.

Mrs. Mills, mother of the bride, and Mrs. Sanson, mother of the bridegroom both wore black and carried posies of freezias, maidenhair fern and mauve violas. After the ceremony a gathering of immediate relatives was held at the residence of Mrs. B. A. Bent, Standish Hill, sister of the bride, where a very happy hour was spent by all. Later, the happy couple left by car for the North, the bride travelling in a wine face-cloth tailored coat with Bable opossum collar and cuffs.
