Merrymakers’ Dance A Jolly Function
Under the auspices of the Palmerston North City Band the Merrymakers’ Dance Club commenced a series of fortnightly dances in the Cosmopolitan hall on Tuesday evening. The function, which was well attended, proved most enjoyable with a varied programme of old-time and modern dances. Bonner’s Orchestra supplied bright music and a novelty waltz added to the interest. A most delightful supper was served the arrangements being controlled by an energetic committee of ladies headed by Mrs. Creighton. Messrs. J. H. Henry and W. G. Williamson carried cut the duties of M’sC. most efficiently. It is intended to run the later socials with principally old-time dances.
