Sadden Deaths of Three Dunedin Men
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 12. Immediately after lie had made an investment on the totalisator at Riccarton. yesterday, Donald McLennan, a fellmonger, aged 71, residing at Maori Hill, Dunedin, was seen to put his hand to his heart and collapse. The cause of death was heart failure. Two other Dunedin men died suddenly in Christchurch last evening. Alfred George Hill, married, a well-known horse-breeder, of Taieri; and Herbert Blackburn, aged 50, of Musselburgh. The deaths are believed to have resulted from natural causes in each case. A coincidence was that both Hill and Blackburn died in their rooms at their respective hotels. An inquest will be held into the death of Blackburn.
