Fastest Aircraft Ever Built
SCHNEIDER CUP MACHINES (British Official Wireless.) Received Wednesday, 5.5 p.m, RUGBY, Aug. 12. A new air mail carrier with a maximum speed of 170 miles hourly, lias been built by A. V. Roc, Limited, it is capable of carrying a load of SOOlbs which is regarded as ample for fast mail services in tho Dominions for which it was primarily untended. its cruising speed is over 140 miles hourly and it has a range of about GOO miles at this speed. Except for fabric coverings, the machine is an all-metal biplane. Company exports and journalists today inspected two now racing Vickers Supermarine Rolls Royec SGB seaplanes which have been specially constructed for use by tho British team in tho Schneider trophy race and which arc expected to prove tho fastest aircraft ever built.
