Perjury Admitted by Witnesses in Divorce
THROAT-CUTTING THREATS. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Alleging that they had been influenced to make false statements on oath by threats that their throats would be cut, Ada Ridley and William Edward Walker admitted in the Police Court that they gave perjured evidence in a divorce suit in Pebruary last. They had sworn they had seen responent and co-respondent in bed together and living as ma n and wife. Both accused were committed to tho Supreme Court for trial. The action was taken at the instiga. tion of the solicitor-general.
