£2OOO Claimed for Loss of Husband
FATAL COLLISION NEAR, POBIRUA. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The hearing of a claim for £2OOO damages arising, from a fatal motor accident at a bend in the road between Parcmata and Porirua in October last was continued in the Supreme Court beforo the Chief Justice to-day. The claim was made by Mabel Prince against Dr. William James McDonald consequent upon the death of her husband as a result of a collision with defendant’s car. Plaintiff and husband were travelling on a motor-cycle combination and it was alleged that at the bend in the road Doctor McDonald drove on the wrong side, the result being a collision, plaintiff’s husband being killed. Lengthy evidence was taken over two da3 r s, the case concluding to-day save for his Honour’s summing up Which was postponed until to-morrow.
