“The Naughty Wife”
To-morrow night will soe the first production of the comedy-drama, “Tho Naughty Wife, 1 " by the local Amatoui" Operatic and Dramatic Society. A threo nights’ season is being played and no effort has been spared to make the production a brilliant success and help raise funds for the Central Relief Committee. The. stage settings are excellent and the dresses, general furnishings and furniture have all been supplied by the C. M. Ross Company, Limited. Tho society are fortunate in having some vory clever amateurs to fill tho cast. Miss Ulu Hancock, Miss Betty Mcßae. Miss E. Boon, and Messrs. Amos McKegg, M. H. Oram, A. E. Eising, Forbes and Fitzhorbert are all well-known. to the theatre public of Palmerston North. One of tho strongest casts over put forth by the society will be seen at the Opera House on August 13, 14, 15. An excellent presentation of an amusing comedy should provide a full measure of fun and on•jcyment for those who witness the production Popular prices are the order of tho day and seats me \ bo reserved at tho Central Booking Office and day sales at Mr. C. Swallow’s bookshop. The city traffic officer has kindly arranged for the corporation ’buses to be in attendance at 10.30 p.m. at the end of the performance.
