Victoria's Wage Cut
SCHEDULE BEFORE PARLIAMENT MELBOURNE, Aug. 11. Tlie schedule embodying reductions in Public Service salaries and w-ges is being introduced with the Emergency Retrenchment Bill in the Victorian Assembly to-day by Mr Hogan and the Labour Ministry. It provides for the following reductions: 6 per cent, on salaries to £IOO. 11J per cent, between £IOO and £225. 14£ pi • cent, between £225 and £260. 15} per cent, between £261 and £312. 25 per cent, on salaries above £312.
