N.S.Wi CIVIL SERVANTS’ PAY

The New South Wales public servants’ salaries were paid to-day, five days late.. The new pay envelopes will be appreciably lighter because the recent reductions will then become effective. 25 Per Cent. Cut in Tariffs Demanded Received Tuesday, 9.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 11. The Leader of the Country Party, Dr. Earle Page, addressing the Farmers ’ Conference, at Sydney to-day, declared the tariff must be cut 25 per cent, in order to give primary industries a chance.
