Riveter “Crashes” into The Higher Society

"The Hot Heiress/’ coming to the Palace nest Wednesday with "Widow from Chicago,” is one of the most hilarious and human comedies of the year. There are three songs in keeping with the spirit of the piece . They are "Like Ordinary People Do,” "You’re tho Cats” and "Nobody Loves a Riveter.” Ben Lyon, celebrated for his fine work in "Hell’s Angels” is featured with beautiful Qua Munson. "The Hot Heiress” is modern, suii'used with tho gaiety of youth, and amusing in the extreme. Tho story is oil at a swift gallop at the moment when tfie iron riveter misses a rivet his helper tosses him, on the twentieth story of a skyscraper they are working on. It hurtles into tho dainty boudoir of a society girl, who is even then repining at the fact that she is engaged to marry a rich nitwit. The red-hot rivet sets her rug afire and the roughneck hoofs it across the high girders to her window and swings in. Then and there tho belie of Park Avenue decides that her ono object in life is to capture the husky youth, even if it means changing pate de fois gras to corn beof and cabbage. Metro-Goldwyn Mayer has given Lew Cody an important role in "Horseflesh,” the racing story which Charles Brabin will direct.
