Obituary
MBS. MABY ANN GBAHAM. There passed away at hor residence, North street, on Sunday last, Mrs. Mary Ann Graham, a resident of the Dominion for the last half-century. Deceased came to the Dominion from Allendale, Newcastle (England) as a young bride, arriving at Port Chalmers. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Graham were farming at Pine Hill, Otago. Two years were spent in Hawke’s Bay after which they removed to Palmerston North and following the demise of Mr. Graham 38 years ago, Mrs. Graham continued to reside in this centre. Of a retiring disposition, Mrs. Graham had not enjoyed very good health for some years past. There arc left to mourn their loss a family of four sons and one daughter, the members being Mr. John Graham, of Palmerston North, Mr. Ernest Graham, of Wellington,- Mr. Edwin Graham, of Talhupe, Mr. Herbert Eowell Graham, of Palmerston North, and Mrs. Gordon Abbott, of Cheviot. There are also five grandchildren. MBS. MABY MULLINS. The death occurred on Sunday of Mrs. Mary Mullins, of 109 Park road, Palmerston North, relict of tihe late Mr. Samuel John Mullins. The youngest daughter of the late Air. and Mrs, William Tod, who were numbered among the early pioneers of Canterbury, having come to New Zealand as long ago as 1841, Airs. Mullins was the last remaining member of that wellknown southern family. Married at Doyleston, Canterbury, in 1878, Air. and Mrs. Alullins later took up sheep-fa-fming at Ashburton, but came north in 1893 and made Palmerston North their home. Airs. Alullins performed a vast amount of good among the poor of the community, having been ever ready to lend a helping hand, while until comparatively recent years she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Mullins predeceased his wife in January of last year. There are left to mourn their loss a family of seven daughters and four sons, several members of whom are well-known in athletic circles.
