An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand, but the pressure is again commencing to fall in the south in front of a series of westerly depressions extending in southern latitudes from the Australian Bight to tho Tasman Sea. Winds: Westerlies prevailing at jirst, but veering later to northerlies in and south of Book Strait; moderate mainly, but strong about Poveaux Strait. Seas (New Zealand waters;: Hough in Poveaux Strait, elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: West to northwest winds prevailing, trong m the southern portion, with rough seas; light to moderate elsewhere, with smooth seas.

Weather: Some showers about Fovcaux Strait and later extending along parts of tho West Coast of the. South Island; otherwise fine, with moderate temperatures.
