Nile Bridge Joins Cairo mi Gezira
CAIRO. Dorman Long and Co., which built tho biggest bridge in the world over Sydney Harbour, has started work on the new Hash el Nil bridge over the Nile from Cairo to the island of Gezira. Tourists visiting Egypt during the next three seasons will no longer be able to motor from the Semiramis Hotel over the Nile by the old bridge, which has stood there since 1870. The new bridge when completed after three years’ work will be a fine addi tion to Cairo’s modern architecture.
