Boxing Champions
Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, Aug. 8. Opinion in official circles is that R. Purdy (the Auckland feather weight), H. Thomas (the Wellington lightweight) and B Lowe (the Otago welter) are certainties for the New Zealand boxing team for Olympia at Los Angeles next year. The personnel will be announced at an early date. The profit on the tournament was £62 sterling.
