There is a 5s bicycle tax in Uganda, South Africa, which brings the Government of that British Protectorate about £10.500 a year. Every native who can afford a cycle rides one. “High teas," consisting of such dishes as “sausage and mashed,” kippers on toast, Welsh rarebits and various egg dishes, arc the most popular meals served by the kitchen committee of the House of Commons.
