GLAMORGAN BEATEN BY NINE WICKETS MERCER SCORES 62 IN 29 MINUTES (Special to Press Association). SWANSEA, Aug. 4. The resumption of the GlamorganNew Zealand match was delayed 50 minutes on account of rain. Lavis was caught when attempting a big hit off Allcott. Mercer was more successful. He opened with two sixes on successive balls fr t Vivian, and continued to hit in hurricane fashion tall the end of the innings. Tiie New Zealanders, however, gained a nine-wicket victory. After the dismissal of Olay, Ryan offered .Atle resistance. Mercer batted for 29 minutes and hit six sixers and three fours. The slow bowlers’ averages suffered in consequence.
