ON ADDINGTON TRACK METROPOLITAN HORSES Id, anticipation of a lot of work being clone, thero was a large crowd at Addington oil 'Tuesday morning, states tho Stax. Somcrby lock Brentlight out by'about a couple of lengths, with Grand Light ou tho outside of Brentlight, and the trotter Audominion following about six lengths back. Audominion, which lost ground, was pulled up at tho cud of a round, but tho other three went on for a mile and a quarter, finishing almost in line. Somcrby and Brentlight were both seen to advantage, but in the early part Grand Light seemed to bo pacing short, although he moved better toward tho end of the journey. Peterwah in Smash

Sir Voyage, starting on tho inside, had Peterwah for a companion. The pair -event away from tho winning post, but just before the straight was reached I heir sulkies met and.C. Dunloavy, who was behind Peterwah, was thrown out. Sir Voyage was at once pulled up, but Peterwah galloped a couple of rounds boforo ho stopped. Dunloavy was not hurt, and thorc was no damage to tho sulky or to Peterwah. Nelson Ata led Audominion throughout a work-out of a mile and a half, Audominion. putting in. a couplo 01 slight breaks. Linkman did about a mile and a half at a steady speed, not being asked to go at all fast. Orphan, who is back at the pacing gait., covered a mile at his best speed. Our George and Erin’s Lynn worked two miles. Tho pace was flow for the first mile and a half, but the speed was then turned ou and the pair finished together, going fast over the last quarter. Locanda Boy did useful work over nearly two miics. He seems to be keeping fairly sound. Cushla d’Or and Acre were associated in a work-out of nearly a mile and a quarter, but neither was at top speed. Rose Audo aud Nelson Boy worked together for a mile, when the ' firstnamed was pulled up and Nelson Boy went on for a little further than another quarter of-a milo. Rose Audo broke just at the finish of her task, but Nelson’ Boy went very steadily througnoul. Big Handicap Horsc3 Erin’s Fortune was very fractions and would not start oil' with Free Advice and Logan Park. Aftor a couplo ot false starts Erin’s Fortune went away right and led Free Advice by a couple of lengths, Logan Park being four lengths further back. They wont a mile and a half and, corning up the straight tho last time, tho leading pair put on top speed. They drew further away from Logan Park, finishing down the back stretch at a good clip. Erin s Fortune maintained her place to the finish, but Logan Park was cased over tho hist furlong. It was a very fine work-out on the part of Erin’s Fortune and Free Advice. Eileen Wood had a maiden pacer by Denver Huon as her companion in _ a work-out of a mile and a half, in which they were not at top speed at any stage. , , T *• Vesuvius, Warplane and Native Prince, starting off in that order, went a mile aDd a quarter. There was a strong wind blowing at tho time, but the trio put up good time for the journey and showed that they are in their best form. Vesuvius led throughout, and tho positions of the other pair weic unchanged. Lady Fan. which is very well, went almost a mile and a quarter, trotting fust without making any mistakes. Sun child and Golden Pedro were associated in a work-out ot a mile and a half. -; At tho start Golden Pedro moved away slowly and bis companion got about four lengths’ lead. Once the Australian pacer hit his gait properly ho quickly caught up his companion and the pair finished together in good time.
