Across Atlantic in a Yacht

TWENTY-NINE DAYS FROM RHODE ISLAND. SHARK WAS DISAPPOINTED United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, Aug. 3.

C. Barber, an Englishman, and A. Walter, an Esthoniau, have arrived at Plymouth in a 28ft. yacht, after what is claimed to be a record. trans-Atlantic passage of 29 days from Newport, Rhode Island. During the trip the pair lashed themselves to the mast, to prevent huge seas from washing them overboard. They were without chronometers, and saw no sign of life for a week. A 14ft. shark followed them for days, six inches from the gunwhale.
