Aftor a number of conferences tho Rugby Union selectors have chosen 25 players for tho New Zealand tour as follow:—• Full-backs Dr. A. Ross, J. Steggall. Wing three-quarters. W. Hcmmingway, ii. Tolhurst, B. Palmer. Centro three-quarters: . C. Towers, P. Clark, H. Heard. Five-eighths: D. Cowper, H. Primrose. Hall-backs: . S. Malcolm, G. Bennett. Forwards. Front row: W. Cerutti, L. Bonis, M. M. Blair, J. Ritter, E. Love. Second row: F. Wyatt, B. Judd, M. White, Locks: F. Eeville, T. Perrin. Breakaways: J. Clark, Paifreyman, O. Bridle. Tho average ago of tho team is 23 years. Tho backs averago 11.7 in weight and the forwards 13.7. Malcolm is captain. Tho three States have secured the following representation:—New . South Wales, 14; Queensland, nine; Victoria, two.
The selectors concentrated on a judicious selection of oxpcricnce and youtb with tho result that the team is regarded as a strong ono and likely to give a good account of itself. Tho Queenslander Lindsay would have been selected but for an injury sustained last Saturday.
