“Dance, Fools, Dance”
The intial screening in Palmerston North of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s 1931 dramatic talking success, “Dance, Pools, Dance,” a picture with a high reputation backed by the film .critics and general public of America, will ta,ke place at the Regent on August 29. . The star part was written for Joan Crawford, and in it she is credited with, showing the very best work of her career. Starting off as a frivolous society girl with never a care in life, she sees her father’s millions vanish in a financial crash, with the -result that she is forced to earn her living as a crime reporter on a great metropolitan daily.
