An auctioneer liad been found guilty of gross fraud. “The sentence is ten years/' said the judge. “Ten 1 am offered,” replied the prisoner absentmindedly. “Any advance on ten ?” In mid-ocean a girl who had been watching a miserable-looking man said to the woman beside her: “Your husband is a poor sailor, is he not?” “Certainly not, ”, replied the woman; “he's a rich sheep farmer.”
