BREAD AND APPLE PUDDING. Six ounces chopped suet, 6oz. dried crusts or stale bread, 3. tablespoons of flour, teaspoons of baking powder, a little salt, fruit and sugar. Soak bread in cold water and squeeze dry, add flour, suet, powder and salt. Mix well. Line a buttered basin, then fill with fruit and sugar to taste. No water must be used, as fruit makes liquid. Cover and steam for about 2 to 24 hours.
