Value of Speed Supremacy in Trade

The newspapers hail Britain’s recovery of the three-fold speed supremacy in air, land, and water, represented by Mr. Kaye Don’s 103.49 miles per hour, Sir Malcolm Campbell’s 245.736 miles per.hour, and Squadron-Leader Orlebar’s 357.7 miles per hour. Tho Daily Telegraph emphasises that it is not without significance that during a period of gravest depression these three trades, motor cars, aeroplanes, and motor boats, have maintained comparative prosperity.. No doubt one of the main causes is the prestige from speed.
