Ormondville
From Our Own Correspondent. ■ Rev. H. W. and Mrs. Klingender returned to Ormondville on Friday from Napier. M'r. Klingender had joined the retreat held last week at To Aute for Anglican clergymen. The district school opened yesterday. Miss Wilson, of Ormondville, will be in charge of tlio infant department during the absence of Miss Black, who is away on sick, leave. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Barnes, of Ormondvillc, and Ned Barnes have gone to Takapau for a few days to stay with their daughter, Mrs. Willetts. Word was received on Saturday that Miss Black, infant mistress of the Ormondville school, had been taken suddenly ill and had to enter the hospital to bo treated for appendicitis. Her friends wish her a speedy recovery. About 9 o ’clock on Saturday morning a tire was discovered at the southern end of the viaduct, which was speedily extinguished without doing much damage.
