KING OF SWEDEN REFUSES TO SANCTION MARKIAOr-b PUBLICATION OF ENGAGEMENT WAS PREMATURE United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. STOCKHOLM, Jan. 31. • The romance of Prince Lennart, the 21-year-old grandson of King Gustav, ended in the refusal of the King to sanction his marriage to hunn Nisvaudt, the beautiful 19-year-old daughter of a Swedish business man. Tho report of tho engagement, published in Stockholm newspapers, which stated that it merely awaited tho formal consent of the King, caused a sensation in court circles. It is officially intimated that the King is of opinion that the couple are too young. It is an open secret, however, that the real reason is because the royal family and virtually the entire Swedish, nobility believe that Karin’s parents were responsible for the premature publication of the engagement report.
