The Board of Management acknowledges with grateful thanks- gifts for the month of January from the following:—Ladies of Orange Lodge (for Christmas fund omitted from December), donation, £3 10s; “A Friend,” clothing; “A Friend,” vegetables and rhubarb; Mr. Collis (Ivairanga), cabbages; Mrs. J. Wallace (Plimmorton), vegetables and tomatoes; Mrs. J. Walker (Plimmorton), large tin of lollies: Mrs. Cochrane (Plimmorton), tin of biscuits and cake; Mrs. Martin (Plimmerton), lollies and free pictures: Manawatu Meat Co., meat, sausages and dripping; Mr. Thwaitcs, ox tongue and meat; Anonymous Friend, cabbages, lettuces and rhubarb; “A Friend,” case of plums; Mr. Spooner, Mrs. Oliver, and “Kind Friend,” free transport to and from railway station: Mrs. Crosse, Senr., quarterly subscription, £1; Mrs. Driver, clothing; Mrs. Tillick, clothing; Mrs. Nicholls, clothing; Mrs. Austin (Plimmorton), wood and coal.
