Tho New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received tho following market report from its London office, dated January 30, 1931 (last week’s figures being in parentheses):— Butter: New Zealand, salted, 113 s to Ills (Ills to 116 s); unsalted, Ills, lids to 118 s (lids, 118 s, 120 s); first whey, 108 s (106 s); second whey, 106 s (101). Deliveries New Zealand this week, 1878 tons; in store, 4619 tons, excluding 275 tons ex “Tamnroa.” Australian, salted, 108 s to 110 s (109 s to Ills); unsalted, 110 s to 113 s (110 to 114). Deliveries Australian, 1788 tons; in store, 2300 tons. Market firming. Argentine, unsalted, 108 s to 112 s, ex., 114 s (nil); Danish, 132 s f.0.b., 13Ss spot (1255, 1325); Dutch, unsalted, 142 s to 144 s (140 s to 1425); Polish, 106 s (106 s). Market firm. Some New Zealand retail prices, Is 2d, Is 3d. Danish unchanged. Empire Marketing Board's estimated stocks all butters at January 24, 1931, 301,312 boxes. Cheese: New Zealand white and coloured, 53s to 54s (54s to 565); full cream premium Is more difficult make, but sells more readily/at same price. Deliveries New Zealand this week 26,440 crates; in store, New Zealand, i this week, 77,330 crates. Australian I white, 51s to 525; coloured, 50s to 52s (545); Canadian, white, 74s to 76s (74s to 78s); coloured, 72s to 74s (74s to 765). Deliveries Canadian 738 S boxes; in store, Canadian, 176,866 boxes. English finest farmers, 100 sto 106 s (100 sto 106 s). Market slow. Entails unchanged. “Mahia” finished discharge cheese January 22; commenced discharge butter, January 26, finished 27th. “Tamaroa’’ finished discharge cheese January 24; finished discharge butter, January 28. Shipments from New Zealand: “Huntingdon” sailed January 29, 42,878 boxes salted butter, 109 boxes whey; white cheese, 15,068 crates; coloured, 9444 crates. »
