Gin. in length with a girth of 6ft. Sin. The dish captured by Lord Grimthorpo measured 10ft. Biu. and had a girth of sft. Gfin. Mr* White-Wickham’s launch was drifting gently off Piercy Islet when tlib huge mako took the bait. It put up a strong light and provided thrilling sport before it was successfully landed after a struggle of nearly* an hour. Tho iish was sent to the authorities of the Auckland Museum. Mr White-Wiekham, who has visited tho deep-sea lishing grounds at the Bay of Islands regularly during tho past five or six years, has several other good catches to his credit.
