Railway Construction
IMPORTANT STATEMENT COMING Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. According to an announcement made hy the acting-Prime Minister (Hon. E. A. Ransom) this evening, an official statement upon the Government’s intentions concerning future railway construction, will he made in the next lew days. The suggestion that the Government had been considering the cessation of activities on one or two lines under construction was referred to Mr. Ransom, who said, although he was not prepared to say anything at the moment, a statement would be issued in the near future.
